The Document Center has digitized and will be screening a 1969 presentation by Harry Lee Cole. In it, he shares some history of Boxford houses, along with his personal reminiscences of some of their residents.
About: Recreating this presentation involved a lot of work! After digitizing the audio and visual components, we stitched them together to create a movie file. We then added some images from the Document Center’s collection to fill in a couple of missing slides and other visuals that were not included in the original lecture. Because the 1969 audio can be hard to hear at times, we created a transcription and added that to the video as subtitles. When Mr. Cole originally gave this talk, Boxford did not have house numbers, so we identified all the buildings’ current addresses and added those as well to make it easier for today’s viewers to follow.
